KIEFER, Okla. -- Parents in Kiefer are outraged after they say a principal’s wife gave their middle school children alcohol at a party.
Court documents claim after a January incident in which the woman gave alcohol to minors, she tried to take matters into her own hands.
Creek County deputies arrested Angela Weaver, 48, Wednesday night. She is now facing seven counts of deceiving a witness and one count of assault and battery.
New information arose in the case when parents told Kiefer police that Weaver was coming into a school and threatening their children, telling them to change their stories.
Deputies say Weaver is the wife of a Kiefer Public Schools principal. In January, police say Weaver hosted a party for her teenage daughter in their Bixby home. Authorities claim Weaver gave attendees, who were all middle school students, alcohol.
Weaver was arrested in January for the incident.
“Certainly anybody who’s going to take it upon themselves to make a decision on another parents behalf, on something as important as, you’re going to let another child drink and get drunk, that’s not somebody who I certainly want my children going to,” said Kiefer Chief of Police, Johnny O’Mara.
Weaver is now out on bond.
