After several not positive comments surfaced on our Facebook about the new license plate designs, we found another possible option and that design is available to order.

The seemingly popular bison designs were voted on earlier this year and now the winning design is ready for orders. The Nature Conservancy is aiming to sell around 500 plates within 180 days sothey can start production. So, if would like to have this as your license plate, hurry and purchase!

According to the Nature Conservancy, almost 15,000 people voted on the eight choices and the one picture above, called “Pioneers on the Prairie,” took the prize with around 3,400 votes.

“Oklahomans recently showed us just how interested they are in a new bison license plate,” said Mike Fuhr, State Director for The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma. “We are now asking all those interested to join our efforts and help us get the required 500 pre-orders. The sooner we get those 500 collected, the sooner these new bison license plates go into production.”

The artist behind the design, Chris Miller, is reportedly in Tulsa with a group called the Cubic Creative.

Twenty dollars from each plate cost, which is $38 overall, will be donated to help conservation efforts in Oklahoma.
