The City of Barnsdall is getting ready to operate a new water filtration system, which is expected to lower contaminants in the water.
"This new filter will help prevent less cloudiness and probably take the chlorine taste out," said Mayor Brock Moore.
The city started installing the new the system soon after the Department of Environmental Quality issued a boil order in February.
Mayor Brock says the new system is costing the city about $589,000, and he expects it to be fully operational next week.
