Every morning Linda Jerchau drives by the home that she and her husband are having remodeled to check out the progress, but Monday morning she noticed something out of place.
"The carport was just cleaned out," she said. "It's usually stuffed with stuff."
She said it took her a moment to realize everything that was missing. She figured out that someone stole a trailer and two lawnmowers--a zero-turn Skag and a Craftsman--as well as other lawn care equipment.
"A brush weed eater, a hand weed eater, a (leaf) blower," Jerchau said. "If you want to start a lawn business, you got it."
Days earlier, she said her husband tried to secure everything in the carport with a chain, but it was clearly not enough. She said the thieves cut the lock and also cleaned out her outdoor freezer "including our Thanksgiving turkey," Jerchau said.
She posted a message on her Facebook account asking others to look for her belongings, but she's hoping the Rogers County Sheriff's Office will be able to help, too.
She now has a message for whoever stole from her house.
"Stop doing it. You're hurting families," Jerchau said. "We can't afford to replace all this stuff, so I don't wish you harm. I do wish you a better life than the one you're leading."
Anyone with information about this theft should call the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.
