LONE WOLF, Okla. - Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a cotton gin fire caused a Kiowa County town to evacuate Tuesday night.

Troopers said Kiowa County Sheriff Department requested assistance in a cotton gin fire at approximately 3:33 p.m.

Upon arrival, some oil and chemicals in the gin required the town to be evacuated, troopers said.

Troopers said State Highway 9 was closed for about an hour due to heavy smoke from another building that's on fire and black smoke
