ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. -- A 10-week-old puppy who went missing after a fatal Rogers County wreck involving a former NFL player has been found.
The family of Dennis Byrd was reunited with the missing Labrador Retriever puppy Sunday.
According to family members, Byrd was on his way to visit his daughter before her wedding anniversary when he was hit by another driver.

Byrd's daughter, Ashton, was planning to surprise her husband with the Lab puppy, say family members.
Ashton's close Friend, Kelsey Little, says she hopes finding the dog can bring a glimmer of hope to the family during this difficult time. "It was pretty neat to see how all of the people cared and they came together. It was all over social media and people were like literally going and searching in fields looking for the dog. Which was really awesome," said Little.
Byrd died Saturday after a head-on crash with a 17-year-old driver in Rogers County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
