The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says deputies assisted Bixby firefighters in the aftermath of a rural fire and subsequent explosion that destroyed a home on Monday night.
The blast, which happened at 15802 E 168th St. in Leonard, shook the community.
Investigators said no one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported.
"Upon arrival, we found a structure completely destroyed; it had collapsed," Bixby Fire Chief Bryan Wood said. "What I believe happened was it actually blew the roof off and the structure collapsed, because we don't see any broken windows from any of the structures nearby."
Investigators now are tasked with determining a cause of the incident.
Power was out to a few homes in the immediate area because of the fire, officials said.
