Man arrested after crashing into QuikTrip

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - A man was taken into custody after police say he crashed into a QuikTrip in Broken Arrow and fled the scene.

Friday morning police responded to the QuikTrip near Highway 51 and Houston Avenue after receiving reports of a hit and run.

Police say the suspect ran up onto the sidewalk at the QuikTrip and hit the building, knocking things off the shelves inside the store.

When employees of the QuikTrip asked for insurance information, the suspect refused and fled the scene. A short while later, police caught up with the suspect, 32-year-old Chance Walbaum, and arrested him on several charges including possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, and leaving the scene of property collision.
