TULSA -- Police have identified a man who was shot and killed Saturday morning at an east Tulsa apartment complex.
Police say Johnathan Stephens, 27, was shot and killed while parking his vehicle at the Virginia Lee Apartments.
Witnesses told police that a small black car pulled up to the parking lot where Stephens was parking his vehicle and shot him before fleeing the scene.
Police say the suspects were involved in several other carjackings. Throughout the investigation, police learned that a Broken Arrow family fell victim to an armed robbery near 11800 East 64th Street. Police say two suspects approached the family armed with a rifle and a pistol and stole their Lexus SUV.
After fleeing the scene, the suspects allegedly robbed a couple of their small black car. According to police, the two suspects abandoned the Lexus near the scene of the murder and got into the small black car.
After allegedly shooting Stephens, police say the suspects abandoned the small black car near the Shoreline Apartments and stole a Nissan from a man at the complex.
Police say after stealing the Nissan, the two suspects then stole yet another vehicle, a Dodge Charger, from the Village East apartments, where the suspects left the Nissan.
After spotting the Dodge charger, police chased the suspects who spun out near 12400 East 15th Street.
The two juvenile suspects were arrested for first degree murder. Police have not recovered any of the weapons used in the crime spree.
