TULSA - A huge sinkhole formed in the road near Tulsa Country Club on Monday night, as large as a vehicle.

The City of Tulsa sent out a crew to surround the hole and make sure drivers near the N. Maybelle and W. Edison St. will be aware there is an imminent danger.

"We are closing the two eastbound lanes of Edison due to the storm line cave-in," a City spokesperson said. "We have a crew on scene securing the roadway with traffic control and getting the emergency call-okie handled tonight (Monday)."

She said the morning crew will begin repairs which will include road removal and fixing the line. The City will work with its traffic department to either make the two westbound lanes one-way in each direction or divert traffic south.
