Boil order issued for Barnsdall

Posted

BARNSDALL, Okla. – Officials are advising residents to boil any water to be used for consumption.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is telling citizens in Barnsdall located in Osage County to bring drinking water to a “full, rolling boil for at least one minute” before using to cook, wash dishes or consume in any way.

The DEQ says the order was issued due to high turbidity levels in the drinking water.

Residents will be informed when the water is again safe for consumption.
