LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Country music legend Merle Haggard is known for his hit song "Okie From Muskogee," but there is one performance that will always be remembered by a very special fan.
Haggard had canceled a number of concerts due to illness prior to his performance in Las Vegas on Super Bowl weekend.
Toby Keith was in town and went to see the legend, who was still fighting the sickness while on stage.
Haggard turned to Keith and said, "How many songs of mine do you know?"
"All of 'em," answered Keith.
After about five songs, Merle decided to take a break and let his special guest perform in his place. Toby Keith sang Haggard's songs the rest of the night.
This was one of Merle Haggard's final performances and fans got the experience of a lifetime.
