TULSA - The city broke a record no one wanted.
Police were called early Friday morning to investigate the 72nd homicide in Tulsa this year. That number breaks the record of 71 previously set in 2009.
Police have a suspect in custody from this latest homicide, and according to Tulsa Police Department, 65 of the 71 other cases are closed. Nine percent are still open investigations.
