TULSA - Tulsa Habitat for Humanity kicked off its Opening Doors art project Wednesday.

Six local artists teamed up with the organization to create uniquely-designed doors in an effort to open even more doors to help build more houses, communities and hope throughout the city.

With the door as his canvas, local artist Scott Taylor decided to use superheroes as his inspiration.

"I just feel like, in our culture, we really need heroes to look up to. Heroes that stand for something, and do things for the right reasons and put other people first," says Taylor. "For me, that's what superheroes represent"

The doors will be displayed at galleries and businesses across Tulsa. They will also be included in an auction at the Steel Toes and Stilettos Gala on April 9th.

Vote for your favorite door, here. You may have a chance to own it at the upcoming auction.
