Four fire departments responded to a fire at a refuse facility in Rogers County to find two trash trucks fully engulfed in flames.
The fire, which broke out early Friday morning at Champion Refuse in Verdigris, then spread to the company's building.
The damage there, according to Verdigris Assistant Fire Chief Cameron Ayers, is minimal.
Firefighters from Catoosa, Rolling Hills, Tiawah and Verdigris responded to the blaze.
After bringing the fire under control, firefighters were forced to let the trash inside the trucks burn because they were unable to get inside the compartments.
A remediation crew also responded to the scene because of diesel fuel that leaked from the trucks.
The cause remains under investigation, but Assistant Chief Ayers says it's not likely weather related.
No one was hurt as a result of the fire.
