TULSA - The Vatican appointed a new bishop for the Diocese of Tulsa this week.
Father David Konderla, 55, was named by Pope Francis as the fourth Bishop of Tulsa on Friday.
Konderla is scheduled to have his ordination and installation at the end of June when he will replace Bishop Edward Slattery who turned 75 last August.
