Authorities say Peyton was found with gunshot wounds outside a residence located near Fairland and 15th Street in Pryor Creek. Morgan is currently being held on a bond set at $100,000.
Police Chief Steven Lemmings told 2 Works for You that they responded to several calls on New Year’s Day about someone knocking on doors and running off. Lemmings went on to say that he believes that is how Peyton was shot.
According to family members, a man came outside of his home and fired several shots, two of which hit Peyton.
Peyton was last listed as in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
