TULSA -- A west Tulsa police chase caused major delays after coming to an end Tuesday evening.
Tulsa police say the chase began when an officer tried to stop a car around 4:15 in the afternoon on 48th Street and Peoria Avenue.
According to police, the car was traveling 60 miles per hour. The car then apparently became disabled, but the driver was able to start the vehicle again. That's when the chase began.
TPD says they called in Oklahoma Highway Patrol to assist with the chase. The chase came to an end near the 6800 block of New Sapulpa Road.
Police say they had to break the window to get the driver out of the car. The driver may have mental issues that could have factored in to the chase, say police.
