TULSA, Okla. — Richard Glossip was scheduled for execution nine times and escaped execution nine times.
He was scheduled to die in May 2023 for his connection to the murder of Barry Van Treese, but the Supreme Court issued a stay of execution as they reviewed the facts of the case.
In Jan. 2024, the Supreme Court accepted the case. It will be heard in the fall of 2024.
