TULSA - Oklahoma City Thunder fans are sounding off on losing Kevin Durant.  The face of the franchise for the last eight years is leaving as a free agent after signing with the Golden State Warriors.

It’s a feeling of loss spreading across the state. They’re feeling it at the newly dedicated Thunder basketball courts in north Tulsa.

“Everybody’s been talking about it today- everybody’s talking about Kevin Durant,” said Tulsa teenager Anthony Hill.

From the courts to the businesses that benefit from the team’s success—the reactions are mostly the same.

“I could have handled it to any other team but the Warriors, that’s still too raw, still to fresh,” said Shirley Graham.
Graham is the captain of the Tulsa chapter of Blue Alliance, the official Thunder fan club.  She says Tulsa business that host Thunder watch parties could feel the impact in the future.

“Going in the future no telling what’s going to go on with Russell and some of the other trades or who we pick up, that might-- could very well, could affect, people are just not going to come out,” Graham said.

The Tulsa chapter of the Thunder fan club has been growing in recent years. When the Thunder do well, interest in the watch parties goes up and it’s good for businesses that host those parties.
