Hello! Is it me you're looking for?
Well, no, Lionel Richie, you're not. But please continue with your Peyton Manning commercials, though. They're very funny. We're actually looking for The Voice!
And it's back. Monday. At 7 p.m. Right here on KJRH Channel 2.
In recognition of the BEST singing competition on TV, we put together a quick list, five things, that we absolutely LOVE about The Voice.
The suspense of which, or if any, coach will turn his/her chair around
This is one of those on-the-edge-of-your-seat type moments where you're practically screaming, "WHY IS NO ONE TURNING AROUND YET?!," at the TV - because you know, the coaches can hear you, and so can your neighbors. Then, when they do turn around, especially if one of those coaches is Blake Shelton, we want the performer to pick Blake, even if he's already filled his team. It's agonizing, but fun.
The hair styles Adam Levine sports
Remember that dreadful bleached look he chose?! You don't? Let us refresh your memory.
Or, how about that bald look? Yea, no.
The bromance between Adam and our boy, Blake
This pretty much says it all.
The abundance of Oklahomans on the show
Didn't it feel like last season there were a lot of Oklahomans? There were four - Brian Nhira, Chelsea Gann, Kata Hay and Justin Whisnant - on season 10.
We've been blessed with The Swonn Brothers of Muskogee - who finished third during season 4, Corey Kent White of Bixby - who made it to the top 8 of season 8. Tulsans who've appeared on the show include Adley Stump and Jamar Rogers (season 2), Alaska & Madi (season 6), and Jubal Lee and Amanda Preslar(season 9).
And we're hearing there may be another Okie or two this season!
Finally, but certainly not least, BLAKE SHELTON!
How can Blake not top this list?! From his aforementioned on-set fun with Adam to how he ALWAYS props up Oklahoma. He never fails to disappoint us when he's back home or just representing the Sooner state.
He gathered a bunch of his friends and held the Healing in the Heartland concert in 2013 to help relief efforts following the devastating EF-5 tornado that ripped through central Oklahoma a few days earlier.
Remember last May, when he responded to 89-year-old Joyce who asked him to come visit their nursing home in Elk City? Not too many celebrities take the time to write back and say, "I love you."
Or how about the time he gave Roho Hartman a ride home after Roho's truck stalled out from flooding near Ardmore. Remember Roho? He's the guy who called his wife and told her to "slick up," that he and Blake Shelton would be home soon. Don't remember that? Watch the video above. Trust us, you need to meet Roho.
Hey, Lionel, give us one more line before you go... "Tell me how to win your heart. For I haven't got a clue."
We just gave five reasons how our heart was won! How can anyone not love The Voice?!?!
