Posted

Another cult classic series is coming back from the television graveyard, after a surprising announcement hit the Internet today.

"Twin Peaks," the ethereal drama that originally ran on ABC from 1990 to 1991, will be revived on Showtime for a nine-episode run in 2016.

The network released a video teasing the return of the show on Youtube.

Series co-creator David Lynch tweeted the video to his followers on Monday.

Casting for the new limited series hasn't been confirmed but the original star of "Twin Peaks," Kyle MacLachlan, hinted in a tweet that he may be reprising his role as FBI agent Dale Cooper.
