TULSA, Okla. — A man allegedly vandalizing an AC unit was shot and killed by the owner on Aug. 15, Tulsa police said.

Officers responded to the home near 43rd West Avenue and Charles Page Boulevard around 9:15 p.m. and found 45-year-old Timothy Crossley with a gunshot wound in the yard.

Crossley was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives said Crossley was vandalizing the AC unit when the homeowner came outside and yelled at him to stop.

When Crossley didn't stop, this is when officers say the homeowner shot him.

Officers interviewed the homeowner and released him.

TPD says the shooting is still being investigated and the District Attorney's office will decide if any charges will be filed.
