OWASSO — A 911 call traced back to a Green Country school led to a lockdown on Wedsnesday, according to officials with the City of Owasso.

Officials say a call came in around 11 a.m. to the Owasso E911 center stating that someone had pulled a gun and the caller stated they were hiding in the bathroom.

A trace on the call revealed that the call came from Bailey Elementary in Owasso, officials say.

With the recommendation of the Owasso Police Officers assigned to the school, Bailey Elementary went on an external lockout and full interior lockdown.

Officials say video inside school showed no signs of the situation described by the 911 caller,

Once the school was secured and searched, the lockdown was lifted, officials say.

Officials say officers stayed at the school to answer any questions from school staff and parents.

"While we apologize for any disruption of service at the school, student and staff safety is our primary concern," says Nick Boatman with the City of Owasso. "Police received no more information as to the nature of the original call and although field officers canvassed the entire area have found nothing out of the ordinary."
