HENRYETTA, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is back at the property where six people were allegedly killed by a convicted rapist who then turned the gun on himself.
OSBI said Saturday it has taken over this investigation, just one day after 2 News reported family members of those killed had been instructed by the property's owner to take belongings with them or else the items would be discarded, without any guidance from Okmulgee County District Attorney's Office.
Throughout Saturday afternoon and night, OSBI investigators could be seen spread across the front yard and the house where Jesse McFadden lived.
Work then continued into the night.
OSBI members were also seen taking photos of vehicles in the yard, entering the house, and collecting many items into brown bags.
An OSBI spokesman said the agency can't comment any further other than to confirm it has taken over as the lead agency in the investigation, and that it remains ongoing as of Saturday evening.
Neighbors spoke with 2 News as they were passing by the property, commenting off-camera that they are "furious" with the situation and want answers from local and state authorities into what might have been missed before and after the shooting occurred.
Earlier Saturday, family and friends gathered in Henryetta to celebrate the life of 14 year old Ivy Webster, one of the victims murdered by Jesse McFadden down the road from her house.
