Authorities set fire to thousands of marijuana plants in Mayes County

MAYES COUNTY, Okla. — Mayes County Sheriff's Office, along with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, set fire to thousands of marijuana plants in Mayes County.

According to Mayes County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the several thousand marijuana plants were found on Tuesday at an illegal grow operation.

Deputies say the charges are pending.

If anyone has information on illegal grow operations, they are asked to call Mayes County Sheriff's Office at 918-825-3535.
