University of Oklahoma Sooners Head Coach Lincoln Riley said his team will be penalized if they throw the 'Horns down' hand signal during the Big 12 title game Saturday, according to KOCO.
The 'horns down' signal is often used by rivals of the Longhorns.
Big 12 Conference Associate Commissioner of Communications Bob Burda released the following statement to 2 Works for You in regards to the 'Horns down' signal:
"If in the judgment of the on-field officials, any action by game participants deemed an “Unsportsmanlike Act” is subject to penalty in accordance with college football rules."
The Sooners lost to the Texas Longhorns earlier this season 48-45 at the Cotton Bowl.
OU will play the Longhorns Saturday at 11 a.m. at AT&T Stadium in Dallas for the Big 12 Championship.
