BIXBY, Okla. — Bixby Public Schools found a special way to honor its seniors since their graduation has been canceled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thursday evening, the school hosted a parade for its 2020 graduating class.

The high school seniors drove through the town in a line of cars.

"Tonight, getting to ride in my car and drive by all of the people for some type of closure for graduation just meant the world to me," said Kami Fryer, senior at Bixby High School. "Getting to see my friends one last time and family members and teachers and staff, it meant the world to me, and I couldn't be more thankful for Bixby High School."

It was a special moment for all of the seniors who participated. About 430 seniors are graduating from Bixby High school this month.
