BIXBY, Okla. -- Some Bixby parents said they're having tough conversations this week after an investigation at the high school.
Administration at the school said they aren't commenting on the details, although they have hired legal counsel. Sources tell 2 Works for You this follows sexual assault by football players during this season.
Parents like Tracy Reynolds did not expect to see this in Bixby.
"When she told me about it I was a little bit shocked and she was too that something could go on like that here. We moved to Bixby from Broken Arrow to be in a smaller district... and I guess it just goes to show you it can happen anywhere," she said.
Tracy's ninth grade daughter Savannah said she'll be looking differently at her peers.
"A lot of the kids here know how to handle themselves and know right from wrong. It's just really surprising," Reynolds said.
Families expect more details to come out as the investigation continues.
"I assured her that this wouldn't have happened on school property and that it was kind of like a hazing thing. But just because they call it a hazing football thing that doesn't make it right," Tracy Reynolds said.
Students plan to stand by the remaining players during the playoff season.
