In a statement released by Bixby Superintendent, Rob Miller, Bixby North Elementary will transition to distance learning for two weeks.
This decision comes after a recent surge of positive COVID-19 cases among the staff and students.
The elementary school will be on distance learning from November 9th to November 20th.
The district already has distance learning measures set in place for the High School and Ninth Grade Center for the same time period.
Bixby Public Schools will still be providing free breakfast and lunch at North Elementary School from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. while distance learning is taking place.
