Parents who send their children to a Broken Arrow daycare found out their daycare was closed on Wednesday.
The phone line is disconnected and the sign on the door of Kid's Fun-dementals at Olive and Jasper said, "We will be closed until further notice. If you have any further questions please contact Denise."
Attempts by 2 Works For you to reach the daycare facility were unsuccessful.
Oklahoma Department of Human Services said in a statement:
By policy, programs must report to us by the next business day of any unscheduled temporary or permanent program closure or relocation, and preferably 30 days prior if they are anticipating such a closure or relocation. It is certainly concerning to us that a program would unexpectedly displace so many children and families. While they are licensed for 60 children, they had over 40 children in their program at our last licensing visit in June...
DHS said parents can get help by finding a new daycare facility through these resources:
- Contact the DHS Skyline office located at 6128 E. 38th Street at 918-933-4631 and ask for assistance in locating another child care program.
