BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A look at crime in Broken Arrow can be done from anywhere. The Broken Arrow Police Department launched a crime mapping tool. It is two years in the making and another way to let the community in.
BAPD's Public Information Officer Chris Walker said, “We like being transparent with our citizens and our people in our community.”
With the help of the mapping tool, crimes are searchable by location, time and type, but not all crimes are displayed.
“We don’t want certain personal crimes on there like domestic assaults,” Walker said.
Broken Arrow police are dealing with a trend of nightly auto burglaries. Walker advises residents to keep valuables hidden and doors locked.
