CATOOSA, Okla. — Officials with Catoosa Public Schools say a bullet was found Tuesday in the hallway of the high school.
On Tuesday, after rumors had circulated about an incident at the school, the high school principal posted on social media that there were no guns or ammunition found at the high school.
School officials said that the principal later learned that a gun shell was found in a hallway.
No gun was reported on campus.
Officials said in a separate incident, a student was removed from the classroom.
"District leaders are committed to a safe environment for students each and every day. Each report - regardless of circumstances - receives immediate attention to ensure student safety," school officials wrote.
