MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- As deputies continue their investigation into an attempted murder-suicide in Muskogee, that chilling call for help has now been released.

2 Works for You learned it was Marcia Ross who made that call early Thursday morning.

Deputies said her husband, Dan, shot her before turning the gun on himself.

Ross can be heard on the call saying, “I don't know...I've been shot...help!'”

With very labored breath, Ross told operators there had been a shooting.

“Where are you hurt at?” said the dispatcher.

“My stomach,” Ross said.

Then her attention turns to her husband, telling the dispatcher that he shot her.

“My husband, he's hurt. He's on the floor...” she said.

That's the last the 911 operator would be able to speak with Marcia.

She stayed on the line for three more minutes until first responders arrived and followed her shouts for help.

Deputies say Marcia was awake Thursday night following surgery and was able to speak with investigators.

Sheriff Rob Frazier is still searching for a motive.
