JENKS, Okla. — You may have noticed some new flags flying on the Jenks Bridge and Aquarium Drive. That flag is the new official City of Jenks flag.
Jenks high alumna Mariah Scott won the Jenks Chamber of Commerce contest in the summer of 2019 to design it, according to city officials.
The flag's inspired by the city's levy system and the school system, officials said. It has five stars to celebrate the founding of Jenks in 1905 and it also represents that Jenks has five letters in its name.
You can also see the new flag flying at Jenks City Hall, Jenks Police Station and both of the city's fire stations.
