Claremore police said one suspect has drowned and another is in custody after a pursuit early Wednesday morning.
Officials said it began around 3:45 a.m. when officers were patrolling an area hit by recent burglaries.
Officers located a suspicious vehicle believed to be stolen and went to make a routine traffic stop.
Police said the vehicle took off, leading police on a pursuit outside city limits when it crashed into a guard rail at 510 road south of 4180.
Two suspects ran away from the vehicle in separate directions, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle, Nazra Daly, was captured, while the passenger remained on the run.
K9 officers were called in to assist with the search but were unable to locate the second suspect.
As officers began wrapping up the crash scene, police said they heard screaming coming from the creek and saw a person go under the water and not resurface.
The Grand River Dam Authority along with the Fire Department were called in to assist and recovered the body believed to be the second suspect.
Nazra was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries and was arrested upon release.
