COLLINSVILLE, Okla. — Collinsville Public Schools will hit the books Thursday for the first time in months.
Superintendent Lance West said, unlike other districts, 17 percent of the district is enrolled online, but parents can still enroll their student in online learninghere.
West said two support staff members tested positive for the coronavirus, but that doesn't include teachers, administration, or students. 2 Works for You spoke with the high school principal about expectations for the year.
Principal Scott Kikers said as long as three things stay in the minds of the community, he believes they will get through it.
“Those three W’s, wearing a mask, watching your distance, and washing your hands,” Kiker said.
In addition, social distancing, nutrition, transportation, events, and sports are all things the district is taking care of for safety this year.
