COWETA, Okla. — Officers with the Coweta Police Department now have body cameras.

The department purchased the cameras and software with $13,000 from a grant and city funds, according to Mandy Vavrinak, a spokesperson for Coweta PD.

Officers have been trained on using the cameras, and the department says all interactions will be recorded and stored in compliance with state law.
