Local Democratic Party is holding DNC watch party at Tulsa drive-in

TULSA — The Democratic National Convention kicked off on Aug. 17.

The convention has lasted four days, ending on Thursday with the Democratic Party's formal nomination of the next president and vice president of the United States.

With safety and health on the front of everyone's mind, due the coronavirus pandemic, officials with the DNC have come up with a great way to celebrate this year's virtual convention in-person.

Tulsans can join in on the formal nomination at a drive-in watch party.

The 'DNC Convention Drive-in Watch Party' is taking place at the Admiral Twin Drive-In in Tulsa.

Officials say to bring snacks and guest, and head to Tulsa for this unique watch party.

The DNC drive-in watch party takes place on Thurs., Aug. 20.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m.

Officials said the Vice President accepts their party's nomination to be the next President of the United States at 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $`10 per car. Admiral Twin Drive-In is located at 7355 South Easton Street in Tulsa.
