This was no ordinary school board meeting Thursday morning.
Cleveland School board members met and went into executive session to talk about Superintendent, Aaron Espolt, and District's Speech Pathologist, Sarah Allen's, resignation letter.
After nearly two hours the board returned and announced their decision.
The board accepted Ms. Allen's resignation though she didn't give a reason - - and tabled their decision on Superintendent Espolt's future.
"I am needing to spend more time with my family," Espolt said."As we are expecting another child and I will be moving on to do some consulting work."
Cleveland School District Attorney Bryan Drummon said while Espolt is still currently employed by the District
Assistant Superintendent Alan Baker has taken over his duties.
The board will meet again next Monday to discuss the resignation letter of Superintendant Espolt.
