Voting in elections is an important part of life in the United States each year.
Due to COVID-19, officials are unsure how elections will look this year.
If you're interested in voting in the state of Oklahoma, but prefer to vote by mail, you're in the right place!
This year several Americans are choosing to vote by mail through an absentee ballot.
The Oklahoma State Election Board offers a easy and fast way to get your absentee ballot.
Anyone interested in obtaining an absentee ballot must either write a letter to their county election board or use the Oklahoma State Election Board's online application, found here.
If writing a letter, below are the elements it must contain:
- your name
- your birth date
- the address at which you are registered to vote
- the election or elections for which you are requesting ballots
- the address to which the ballots should be mailed
- your signature
