TULSA -- EMSA has responded to four cold weather-related calls since Saturday, when temperatures began to rapidly fall in Oklahoma.

EMSA says one of the calls came in during the overnight hours Saturday and three were between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday.

After an assessment, three of the four patients did not need to be taken to the hospital, says EMSA. One patient was taken to the hospital in non-emergent condition.

Ages of the four patients ranged between 20 and 60-years-old.

EMSA is cautioning the public to take precautions when outdoors, such as limiting time outdoors, dressing in warm, water-resistant layers, and keeping a charged cell phone on you, if possible.

EMSA is also urging people to check on neighbors and family members, especially those with existing health conditions.
