It was a tough day for teachers and friends of Maggie Dubois.
A teacher at Central Elementary School in Bixby, Maggie lost her life in a tragic car accident in October.
Everyone gathered to support her husband, children, and the legacy she leaves behind.
Talyssa McCullough's daughter was in Mrs. Dubois' class tells us, "to see my daughter fall in love with somebody so quickly, showed me that she was a very special person."
Maggie came from a family of educators, so teaching was in her blood.
Mrs. Dubois was nominated to be an Excellent Educator by the parents of a former student.
The parents say she continued to teach, encourage, and support kids in Broken Arrow and Jenks even after she started teaching in Bixby.
Amber Clark had a daughter in Mrs. Dubois class and tells us, "she said she was so kind, and that she thought she had two hearts. She had a heart for us, which she meant her students, and she had a heart for her girls."
"We're just grateful to be able to honor someone who's impacted lives and a great educator" says Seth Knighton with Patriot Auto Group.
Chad Dubois, Maggie's husband, also told us "this is just a wonderful tribute to Maggie and she was an amazing person. And an amazing teacher. We'll miss her very much."
