TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — First Lady Melania Trump is planning a trip to the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. made that announcement Thursday on the Cherokee Nation's Facebook page.
In a statement, Hoskin Jr. expressed his excitement to show the First Lady "the advances tribal nations are making in the field of health care for Native people and children."
He said the First Lady is invited to tour their state-of-the-art Outpatient Health Center and medical school.
There is no word yet on when the First Lady will visit.
