Flower Shop Open Despite Construction On Cherry Street

Construction along Tulsa's Cherry Street doesn't seem to be hurting a local flower shop ahead of Valentine's Day.

Gallery Floral says the road work hasn't hurt business as much as they expected.

The shop owner says the signs at the end of the street saying, "Cherry Street is still open for business" are true.

"Kinda makes people notice our street a little bit more and think there are businesses down there that you know, need business to stay alive," said Joe Guetlein, the co-owner of Gallery Floral.

The east lane of 15th Street remains shut down from Peoria to Utica.

There is no on-street parking while construction is going on.

City officials say the project will be finished by September.
