CRAIG COUNTY, Okla. -- A former Vinita Elementary School teacher has been found guilty of sexually abusing an eight-year-old girl.
Ronald Manners, 49, was accused of being alone with the young girl, touching her inappropriately and kissing her. He was found guilty after a week-long trial.
Manners was a second-grade teacher at the school when the crime occurred. His wife ran a daycare in their home.
He was found not guilty on a second count of child sexual abuse. Manners is in the Craig County Jail, awaiting his formal sentencing set for July 9.
