TULSA, Okla. — The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to fill 3,700 jobs in the next 60 days at its Tulsa office.

Officials say the positions, including census takers and office personnel, pay between $15.50 and $17 an hour.

With the start of the census fast approaching, officials say the Census Bureau plans to hire 500,000 people nationwide and around 42,000 in Oklahoma.

The census is used to determine how states receive billions of dollars in funding for hospitals, schools and construction.
