Green Country "Grab-and-Go" Meals

Several schools around Green Country are providing "Grab-and-Go" lunches for children while school is out in regards to the coronavirus pandemic.

Below are a list of schools and their accommodations:

TULSA PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Tulsa Public Schools announced they will be providing all children that are 18 years and under with "nutritious meals free of charge." These "Grab-and-Go" meals, both breakfast and lunch meals, will be available starting March 23. Officials say the meals will be available at approximately 38 sites and "Meals on Wheels" will be delivered to approximately 170 bus sites in the city. The services will be provided from March 23 through April 3. Officials say should there be a longer closure, meals will continue to be provided to Tulsa students. The TPS "Grab-and-Go" meals service schedule is listed below:

Monday, March 23: *special one-time schedule* with curbside meal pick-up

· 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: breakfast

· 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: lunch and breakfast for the following day

Tuesday, March 24 – Friday, April 3: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with curbside meal pick-up
Meals provided:
o Monday-Thursday: lunch and breakfast for the following day

o Friday: lunch and breakfast for the following Monday

UNION PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Union Public Schools announced it will begin free drive-through meal pick-ups for kids at three different locations during the weekdays from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Also, supper has been added to the meal delivery sites, starting Monday, April 6th.

Here are the following locations:

  • Ellen Ochoa Elementary, 12000 East 31st Street- East-side drop-off
  • 6th and 7th Grade Center, 10100 East 61st Street- South side drop-off
  • Jefferson Elementary, 8418 South 107th Ave.- South side drop-off
  • Union's 8th Grade Center, 6501 S. Garnett, Broken Arrow (use north entrance off Garnett Road)

JENKS PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Beginning Monday, March 23, Jenks Public Schools will offer FREE Trojan Take-Out meals for children 18 years of age and under. Grab-and-go meals will be available from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Jenks High School Dining Hall (205 E. B Street, Jenks, OK 74037). Breakfast and lunch will be available at the same time. Those wishing to grab a meal should pull up to the front of the Dining Hall and remain in their car while the meals are delivered to their vehicle.

BROKEN ARROW PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Child nutrition department to provide free student meals during statewide school closure. Due to the state mandated school closure, Broken Arrow Public Schools is providing free grab-and-go meals for students 18 and under beginning March 23 until April 3 (Monday through Friday) at the following locations:

Additional locations will be available on March 30. Children must be present to receive a meal, which will include lunch for the day and breakfast for the next morning.

SAPULPA PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Sapulpa Public Schools is offering free meals to children during the mandatory closure of schools. The drive-through curbside service will be available Monday through Friday at Holmes Park Elementary between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. beginning March 23rd. Patrons will access the bus loop off of Adams Street to receive the meals. Children do need to be present in the vehicle. No one, other than cafeteria staff, will be allowed inside the building. Those partaking in the free meal service are asked to remain in their vehicle. Sapulpa Public Schools employees will be outside to serve children in order to practice proper social distancing guidelines as well as following recommendations of limiting gatherings to fewer than 10 people. Children will receive both a breakfast and a lunch upon their arrival. Holmes Park Elementary is located at 1231 E. Dewey.

SPERRY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Sperry Public Schools officials announced they will be serving breakfasts and lunches to students age 18 and below while they are out of school, which now appears to be for the rest of the school year. Officials say sacked meals will be provided Monday-Friday between 11 a.m. and noon in front of the Sperry Schools campus. Both drive-up and walk-up service will be available. CLAREMORE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Claremore Public School has been approved for a drive-thru, “Grab and Go” meal service. Children will receive lunch for the current day and breakfast for the next morning, at NO COST. Meals are available for anyone 18 and under. Meal distribution will begin Monday, March 23rd. Locations will be open Monday - Friday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Three Pick up locations:
→ Elementary - 2600 Holly Road (circle drive on the north side of the building).
→ CPS Enrollment Center - 101 West 11th Street (circle drive).
→ Cedar Point Church - 1600 N Lynn Riggs Blvd. (under the main entrance sign).
→ Justus-Tiawah North Campus 14902 E School Rd. - off Hwy 20

If you do not have transportation please contact CPS, 918.923.4200 (# 2 for Administration or #1 for Superintendent's office) , so we can identify under-served pockets and address those needs. BIXBY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

· There is no need to sign up or reserve.
· Meals will be “grab and go” breakfast and lunch via walk up or drive through in order to minimize contact.

· Service will begin on Tuesday, March 24th

· Please fill out our survey at here by Sunday 3/22 so that we can get an estimate of need.

· Meals will be available for pick up Monday - Friday 8 AM - 11 AM.

· Students who are able to pick up meals on their own may do so.

· For parents picking up, students are not required to be present.

· Pick locations are:

· 9GC at 301 S. Riverview

· YMCA at 134th and Memorial

· After hours and other pick up options are available at Bixby Outreach Center:

· 77 E Breckenridge Ave

· Monday 5 PM- 7 PM

· Tuesday - Thursday 1 PM - 4 PM
