Home of former Tulsa police officer, Shannon Kepler, catches fire

TULSA -- The Tulsa Fire Department responded to an east Tulsa house fire Monday afternoon that, according to records, belongs to former Tulsa police officer Shannon Kepler.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 41st Street and South 135th East Avenue around 2 Monday afternoon.

According to records, the home is owned by former Tulsa police officer, Shannon Kepler.

Kepler had been in court Monday for a motion hearing.

Earlier in November, a Tulsa County judge declared a mistrial after nine hours of deliberations.

Kepler is accused of killing his daughter's boyfriend, 19-year-old Jeremy Lake, in August of 2014.
