INOLA, Okla. -- The Rogers County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide at the Riverbend Arena after one man was stabbed to death during a rodeo Sunday night.

Deputies say this happened in the Inola facility just before 9:00 p.m. Sunday. They say a big rodeo was happening inside the arena.

Witnesses told deputies that the victim and another man got into an argument. When deputies arrived one man was stabbed. Another man was airlifted to the hospital.

It's unclear if the man airlifted to the hospital is a suspect or if other people were involved.

Investigators shut down the gates at the facility and interviewed potential witnesses. OSBI is helping with the crime scene investigation.

According to the Riverbend Arena's website, the 700-acre facility is a state-of-the-art rodeo event facility. It can fit up to 10,000 indoors and more than 30,000 people outdoors.

The arena is family-owned.
